Twin Cities Open is our annual spring open entry skateboard contest.  This event is for riders of all ages and abilities and includes divisions for Beginners, Intermediates, Advanced, and Girls/Women.

TWIN CITIES OPEN SCHEDULE

Friday April 17, 2020: Free Open Practice Noon – 9pm

**Normal Open Skate Sessions for non contest participants**

Sat April 18, 2020: Open Practice Noon – 9pm

**Normal Open Skate Session times/Rates for Non Contest Participants - The Bowl will be closed during event times listed below**

  • 3:00pm:  Bowl Jam  
    • Divisions
      • Beginner
      • Girls/Women
      • Intermediate

Sun April 19, 2020:  Times are our best estimate based on past events.  We will do our best to stick as close to this schedule as we can but it is possible that we fall a little behind / get a little ahead.  Please be onsite and ready to ride a minimum of 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time of your event/division.  
**If you are not in the contest you can pay for 1 session good all day - street course will be closed most of the day.
  • 8:00am – Doors Open
  • 8:00 am – 10:00am – Practice
  • 10:00am –Beginner
  • 10:45am – Girls Qualifiers
  • 12:00pm – Finals and Awards for Beginner / Girls 
  • 2:00pm – Intermediate Qualifiers
  • 3:00pm – Advanced Qualifiers
  • 4:30pm – Intermediate Finals
  • 5:15pm – Advanced Finals
  • 6:00pm – Best Trick
  • 6:45pm – Awards
  • 9:00pm – Park Closes

TWIN CITIES OPEN FORMAT

BOWL QUALIFIERS – ALL DIVISIONS

  • Jam Format: All riders will be divided into heats of 6 - 8 riders per heat
    • Each rider will get 4 runs - Skate until you fall (45 sec max)
      • Results will be based on overall Impression.
    • Top 5 Riders in each division will go to finals

BOWL FINALS – ALL DIVISIONS

  • Each rider will get three 45 second runs - Best Run counts for your final score
    • In the event of a tie we will use your next highest score to break the tie

STREET QUALIFIERS - ALL DIVISIONS

  • Jam Format: All riders will be divided into heats of 2 – 4 riders per heat
  • Each Jam will last 3 minutes
  • Top Riders will go to finals
    • Beginner – top 5
    • Girls – Top 5
    • Intermediate - Top 8
    • Advanced – Top 10

STREET FINALS - ALL DIVISIONS

  • Runs – Each rider will get two, 1-minute runs.
    • Best Run Counts for Score
    • Lower scored Run will be used to break any ties
  • We will do prizes down to 5th Place
The expert division will include a cash purse ($5 for each person entered in the expert division.)
